Happy Sunday team!
I’m sending this newsletter out one day early to remind you that we are partially open tomorrow for Labor Day. We will hold our regularly scheduled morning classes (9am Striking All Levels followed by a 10am NoGi BJJ class) and then close for the rest of the day. Our regular schedule resumes on Tuesday, September 8th!
This coming weekend we see North Star athlets Gianna Vadino and Makhi Anthony both step into the ring for five round championship battles at Freedom Fighting Championship at the 2300 in South Philadelphia!.
Gianna defends her Freedom Lightweight Title while Makhi fights for the ISKA Regional Title. Tickets are SOLD OUT online but can be purchased from the fighters. If you’re eager to attend, make sure to get ahold of them ASAP — fight week is a challenging week of weight cutting, mental prep, and last minute punch list items and fighters can get “peckish.” 🙂
