WEEK OF AUGUST 31st, 2026
Happy Monday team!
I had a blast touring the coast of California last week while visiting family and friends, but I’m excited to be back on the mats with you all.
It’s hard to believe that it’s already September! I came home to Halloween candy in the stores. Insanity! But here we are, Summer is coming to a close!
Couple things to keep in mind as we move into this week:
- Our youth grappling classes return to BJJ. We’ll have a one week grace period on acquiring uniforms, but starting Wednesday the 9th all students will be required to be in the gi.
- North Star Wrestling Club will be held on the first Wednesday of each month! All other Wednesdays will return to All Levels no-gi.
- Reminder: Friday night BJJ @ 7:15pm is now All Levels no-gi.
- Gianna Vadino and Makhi Anthony are both headlining the Freedom Fighting Promotions card on Saturday, September 12th in South Philly @ the 2300 Arena. Gianna fights to defend her belt, while Makhi steps up into his first 5-rounder to compete for the ISKA Regional Title. Tickets are available from both fighters!
- Our PRO/AM Sparring event returns on Saturday, 10/3!
