Solid week of training behind us, solid week of training ahead of us as we close out April!
North Star Wrestling Club went from 26 on day 1 to 36 students on day 2! I am a huge fan of wrestling (personally) but found that any implementation of a consistent wrestling class on the schedule led to quick burnout and apathy — we are tentatively planning this only as a six week course, however if attendance is consistently high we will keep it as a permanent fixture on our schedule. Vote with your feet and join us Wednesday for our third session, with an emphasis on the double leg and guillotine defense.
The following night is our April Jiu Jitsu Team Sparring Night! This is a structured open mat full of hard rounds and good vibes. Gi, nogi, whatever. Just show up and be ready to train and get after it.
Please note that we are running a special schedule on Thursday, 4/30 — Clinch Class is moved to 6pm and our BJJ Team Sparring will be at 7pm!
Tons of Muay Thai competition on the horizon as well.
Xavier, Makhi, Dashaun, Jason, Andy, and Joe are all competing at the ISKA National Tournament in two weeks!
Tim Green fights for the title at Freedom Fighter Promotions on the 16th, and Gianna fights in Thailand on the 17th!
And on and on and on.

- 5.8 – 5.10 WEEKEND – ISKA National Tournament.
- 5.16 SATURDAY – Grapple at the Chapel: Fit Jitsu and Junior Samurai showcase and awards!
- 5.16 SATURDAY – Freedom Fighting Championships in South Philadelphia.
- 5.22 – 5.25 WEEKEND – Memorial Day Weekend, schedule TBD.
- 5.30 SATURDAY – Rami Elite Smoker.
- 6.20 SATURDAY – Gut Check Championships in Delaware.
