Happy Monday Team!
April is shaping to be a competitive and busy month! Make sure to mark the following dates on your calendar:
It can be tough keeping everyone up to date on competitions, schedule changes, and additional events — so we’ve created a Slack Channel for the academy to make communication a lot easier!
Yes, you’ll have to participate in another app/interface, but this will really allow us to stay current with you all and provide much better ease of communication. I hope you’ll join us!
Beyond that, we have some irons in the fire for some cool upcoming events.. but as always, if there’s something you want to see, let me know!
Lastly, parts of Philadelphia are dealing with a potentially serious water safety/contamination issue. Please keep this in mind when planning out your training routine this week. The academy does not sell or provide bottled water. However, according to PWD maps, the academy is located in an area unaffected by the potential issue, and as such our fountain will be operational. If you live in an affected area and would like to fill up any water containers you are free to do so (we have a hose hookup in one of the bathrooms). |

Our Junior Samurai stripe challenge this week is Blue! Students can earn a blue stripe by hand-writing a note and sending it to a friend or family member through the mail (snail mail, not e-mail)! |
