Happy Monday Team! Yes, we are open today!
Last weekend (2/11) we had a great showing for our “Path to Blue Belt” in-house seminar. We are considering doing a more regular seminar series so as to take some deep dives into basic, but large, concepts. What would you like to see? Let me know with a reply!
Also, keep Saturday, April 8th blocked off on your calendar. We are tentatively aiming for our 6 Year Anniversary Party on that evening. I don’t want to spill any beans yet until I have everything locked down but it looks to be a real doozy. Stay posted!
Lastly, just a quick word on our advanced (301) classes. It is our ultimate goal to give everyone the opportunity to develop the skills to participate in full contact sparring/competition BJJ training. However, without consistent and dedicated training this will not be possible.
If sparring or competition is something you are interested in, focus your efforts on regular/consistent training in our intermediate program. This will not only give you the physical conditioning that keeps you and your partners safe, it will also give you the technical ability to thrive in more competitive settings.
As we say, “simple but not easy.” Showing up regularly is simple, but it is definitely not easy.
If you are having trouble staying consistent, reach out. I’m here not only to give technical advice, but I can guarantee you I’ve either experienced or observed the problems you’re facing and I’ve seen how different solutions pan out. I can help. That’s what I’m here for.
I’ll see you on the mats! |

Our Junior Samurai stripe challenge this week is Red! Students can earn a red stripe by teaching a parent one of your favorite moves! Make sure to teach something different than before, as many of you have accomplished a similar stripe challenge in the past. Of course, focus on safety! |
