FIT JITSU, JUNIOR SAMURAI JIU JITSU, AND MUAY THAIGERS KICKBOXING YOUTH NEWSLETTER
MONTH OF NOVEMBER, 2026
Hi Parents!
We had a blast with the kids this past week at our Halloween Spooktacular! It’s always exciting to see the students express themselves so creatively in their costumes. As we move into November we’ll simply continue with the momentum we’ve been building all fall and move into some new skills on the mat!
Thanksgiving is right around the corner! As such please note that we will be closed for youth classes on Thursday, 11/26. Our youth BJJ class on Wednesday at 5pm will be a youth games/open mat day that will be open to our Muay Thai students as well.
Grapple at the Chapel returns on December 12th! Mark you calendars for Saturday, December 12th at 12:30pm! This year we’ll be running youth grappling and youth Muay Thai bouts in the church. This event is open to all students and is an amazing way to showcase all the hard work they’ve been putting in over the year. We’ll have more information coming soon.
November’s Fit Jitsu Stripe Challenges:
- DUE 11.9 – RED: Perform the following workout 3x!
- 20 Breakfalls (make sure you’re in a safe area!)
- 20 Ninja Getups
- 50 pushups
- 50 squats
- DUE 11.16 – GREEN: Drill a skill!
- Drill a minimum of 20 repetitions of a move you’ve learned in Jiu Jitsu with a parent or sibling (under parental supervision).
- DUE 11.23 – RED: Family Fitness!
- Grab a family member and design a 5 minute workout. Your choice! Make it challenging and fun.
- DUE 11.30 – BLUE: Perform 3 medium acts of initiative! That means that you need to make yourself available to help with 3 (or more) medium sized chore. It has to be something a little bigger than putting your plate in the sink. Some ideas include: help clean up after dinner, tidy a room, help a family member with a chore.
See you on the mats!
