Writing this from the couch on Sunday morning after our first Sunday Sprint Club meetup at the Roxborough High School track. I’m cooked.
We’ll be meeting every Sunday @ 8:45am (first lap is 9am sharp) through the beginning of May. This is open to everyone — student, friend, even foe 🙂 And a fun way to forge some new relationships, get in shape, and cap off a productive week.
You may be asking, is this appropriate for me? The answer to that is simple: if you have two working legs, then yes. Running is one of those things that we are all designed to do. It has enormous health benefits. And it doesn’t matter how fast or slow you do it. Hope to see you there!
No major events coming down the pipe this week, but here’s what’s on deck moving forward. We’ll also have a new BJJ evening open mat (monthly one) coming up soon, stay posted.
- 3.29 SUNDAY – Grapple at the Chapel: Folkstyle Edition @ 2:30pm. We are exploring the integration of folkstyle wrestling into our youth programming, and we are excited to host a folkstyle wrestling open mat for students in 7-12th grades! This event requires 2+ years of folkstyle wrestling experience. You can register your child here: Grapple in the Chapel 3.29 Registration
- 4.11 SATURDAY – North Star Scavenger Hunt and Pizza Party. Ages 8-13. Details TBA.
- 4.18 SATURDAY – Freedom Fighter Promotions feat. Tim Green.. More info TBA!
- 5.8 – 5.10 WEEKEND – ISKA National Tournament.
