Happy Monday Team!
We are slowly approaching the “dead zone” — that time between Thanksgiving and New Years Day when people kinda just phase out of their routines. That isn’t to say there isn’t a ton of stuff that needs to be done! There is. Parties, family stuff, chores, holiday prep, etc. I will say this — give yourself some grace as we approach 2026, but also draw a line in the sand. If training is important to you, make it a priority, even if that means scaling back for a few weeks.
Your training is more like a houseplant with needs than a video game that you can pause and put away on the shelf. It requires attention and maintenance. It can survive on very little, but it will die if neglected for too long. Extended breaks can be devastating to the progress you’ve made and the habits you’ve built, as well as being a total emotional challenge to deal with upon returning and finding yourself slower, rustier, and more dull than you were when you last hit the mats. Make some time, and stick to a plan, even if it’s modest. Future you will thank present you!
SNACKSGVING! HOLIDAY PARTY FOR OUR KIDS
We have had a great time so far this year with our Smash Bash and Rave at the Grave youth parties, so we’ve decided to invite everyone back in for another evening of fun, games, and pizza here at the church. Our SNACKSGIVING party will feature a more laid back itinerary, with kids encouraged to bring their favorite games as well as a favorite snack to share. Dinner and a mystery snack bag will be provided for all attendees. The cost is $35 and runs from 5:00pm – 8:30pm on Saturday, November 22nd, for ages 8-13.

FRIDAY NIGHT BJJ IS NOW NOGI LEGLOCKS
We’ll be making a small adjustment to our Friday night session. Previously we focused on gi training in preparation for the TCO tournament. Moving forward we will return to nogi training with an emphasis on leg locks. This is an intermediate level class. Please speak with a coach if you would like to participate.
