Happy Sunday Team!

Sending this newsletter out a day early because I want to update our Monday schedule — we will be operating on a normal evening schedule tomorrow.  However, morning classes are still cancelled.  Our full schedule resumes Thursday, January 2nd.

In the meantime, join us for a 10am Striking (all levels) class on Tuesday (NYE) followed by an 11am open mat (sparring + grappling).  Additionally, we are holding our New Year’s Day open mat at 9am!  Yes, it’s early for a reason!

Hangovers welcome, but not encouraged 🙂

Also, our Level 2 Striking Shorts Test is on the calendar for Thursday, January 16th @ 7pm.  Make sure to register here!  This is open to all students with 3+ months striking experience.  We strongly encourage you to participate as it’s an excellent challenge and review of the fundamentals.

Level 2 graduates, and those with extensive experience, are welcome to participate/test as well.  This is a comprehensive training session that covers the basics of our striking system here and, as a standalone training session, is excellent.  

Join in and test yourself!

Looking forward into the month, Makhi Anthony returns to action at Gut Check Championships on Saturday, January 18th.  Tickets are available at the front desk!

We’ll also be receiving our shipment of custom team gis — these black-on-black themed uniforms feature team embroidery and a heavy weight construction.  Team gis will be $129 apiece with limited quantities available in each size.

If I don’t personally see you tomorrow, Tuesday, or Wednesday, have a wonderful holiday and I’ll catch you “next year” (hyuk hyuk hyuk).
