WEEK OF DECEMBER 9th, 2024

 

Happy Monday Team!

This is it–2024 is rapidly coming to a close!  And what an incredible year it has been so far!

Let’s remember that we still have a few weeks left to squeeeeeeeze out the rest of the juice and really tie a bow on the last twelve months!  Don’t get complacent.. keep that momentum you’ve built all year and cross the finish line into 2025 with some wind at your back.  Future you will thank you for it!

(I write the above as I’m monching down peppermint bark in my pajamas.. it’s all about balance I guess).

While there are no upcoming events this month, don’t forget that our next Level 2 Shorts Test is scheduled for Thursday, January 16th at 7pm.  Click here for more info and to register!

We’ll also be running an adjusted schedule for the upcoming holidays.

Please note the following (all subject to change, mind you):

• 12.24 – 10am Open Mat, evening classes cancelled.
• 12.25 – CLOSED
• 12.31 – 10am Open Mat, evening classes cancelled
• 1.01 – CLOSED (possible open mat if there is interest)

We will also have an adjusted schedule from 12.26 – 12.30 TBA (essentially, limited youth classes and adult classes combined into “all levels” sessions rather than 101/201/301 splits).

Let’s also send some good vibes over to coach Valor as he competes for WORLD DOMINATION this week at the IBJJF World Tournament.  Valor is at the front of the pack in the black belt division this year and a strong performance will be enough to get him to that #1 spot!  While he is out chasing medals I will be covering his 7:30pm nogi class this Wednesday as we continue to work on open guard stuff (really, the most important stuff in BJJ IMO).

Beyond that, just super grateful for a great year of training and progress with you all and excited to kick off a new adventure with everyone in a few weeks!
