WEEK OF NOVEMBER 25th, 2024

 

Happy Monday Team!

Apologies for taking the week off last Monday.  Unfortunately I fell ill for one reason or another and found myself flirting with nearly a 105 degree fever on Sunday, so much of last week was spent in bed.  I am doing great now though and wow.. what a reality check!

It is so hard to appreciate what you have until it’s taken away, especially when it comes to your health.

Without a diagnosis, we were left to wonder whether this was some flu-like virus that would inevitably pass or something more serious that could have chronic complications.  Luckily, it seems it was the former, but letting my imagination explore life with additional health complications was challenging especially as someone with such an active profession.

Anyway, I am absolutely stoked and excited to be back on the mats and really grateful for the perspective that this experience gave me.

Coincidentally my sense of gratitude lines up Thanksgiving!  So plenty to talk about over the dinner table this Thursday.

Speaking of Thanksgiving, here’s our official schedule:

6pm Adult Open Mat

 

11.28 THURSDAY 

CLOSED

 

11.29 FRIDAY

Morning classes only (no evening classes)

NORMAL SCHEDULE

 

We anticipate a slow week this week.  But remember: friends and family are always welcome to jump in (they just have to sign the waiver).  So if that annoying cousin who claims “BJJ doesn’t work” is gonna be in town, bring him over 🙂
