WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 9th, 2024

 

Happy Monday Team!

With “Summer Vacation” behind us, we have a long unbroken stretch of great weather and great opportunities to train.  This is one of my favorite times of year for many reasons, but one is just the overall “back to business” atmosphere with everyone settling back into their rhythms.

This weekend we have a few events on the calendar, starting first with Gut Check Championships in Newark, Delaware.  Coach Trevon Scales and Makhi Anthony are competing in respective full rules Muay Thai fights on Saturday evening.  Come out and support!  These events are always a ton of fun to watch and an incredibly motivating experience.  It’s incredible to see your teammates step into the ring, execute on the same skills you’ve been learning, and face adversity with courage and composure.

Tickets start at $65 and are available at the front desk!

On Sunday, coach Alex Brazinski performs his second and final showing of “Where There Is Hope, There Is Light” as part of the Philadelphia Fringe Festival.  The show begins at 8pm and will be held inside the Christ Church Neighborhood House at 20 N. American Street in Old City, Philadelphia.
