Happy Monday Team!
This week finds North Star athlete Gianna Vadino once again representing the USA at the IKSA World Muay Thai tournament in Phuket, Thailand! Gianna’s previous international run ended in a grueling six fight weekend and two title belts. We are sending G a ton of good vibes this week as she steps back into the ring!
In Jiu Jitsu news, I am excited to announce we will welcome ranked IBJJF black belt competitor Valor Boyer back to North Star for a special nogi workshop on Wednesday, March 27th. This workshop will replace our class for the evening and is open to all BJJ students. However, please note that the subject matter of this work shop is a little advanced and will focus in inversion techniques.
We’ll have more information available shortly on the workshop so stay posted!
Looking forward into April, we have two athletes competing in the USA Muay Thai tournament in Hockessin, Delaware. Joe Angelo and Bill Kirner will make their competitive debuts at this North American tournament. Both athletes have been working incredibly hard and are backed by a strong team. We are excited to see them have the opportunity to showcase all their hard work.
Please continue to check in and register for your classes on MyStudio! I know the system isn’t fully fleshed out yet but your activity is appreciated and we are slowly making progress on setting up best practices for everyone.
I’ll see you on the mats!
