Happy Monday Team!
Congratulations to all our competitors from this past weekend at Grappling Industries! Both Dashaun Kimp and Joe Angelo placed first in their respective divisions with clean sweeps of their opponents throughout.
Grant Boyd, Garret Powers, David Cross, Angus Perfect, Kevin Koch, and and Tenzin Wangdak also had strong performances and overall the team did awesome! If you are interested in BJJ competition, speak to one of the coaches. It’s not only a ton of fun, but it’s a great way to test your skills and get some real feedback on where you should focus your efforts moving forward.
Also, don’t forget that our Six Year Anniversary party is re-scheduled for this Saturday from 2-5pm! Come hang out with the team and get to know your buddies in a way that doesn’t involve punching, kicking, or grappling 🙂
Our get togethers are always a load of fun. One of the greatest joys in my involvement in the martial arts over nearly two decades has been my ability to meet and interact with people from all different backgrounds. Take advantage of this unique opportunity that our community affords you and really get to know your teammates. You’ll be surprised at how many cool hobbies, occupations, and stories there are!
Hope to see you there!
And don’t forget — tonight we have added a Jiu Jitsu 101 No Gi class to the schedule! This class runs alongside our Jiu Jitsu 201 session at 7:30pm. Make sure you have the appropriate apparel (rashguard and shorts) and you’re good to go. |
