We often think of ourselves as static, unchanging individuals. We can internalize failures and believe that certain achievements, feelings, or lifestyles are completely out of our reach. In short, we see ourselves and much of the world around us set into a state of unchanging permanence.
Obviously, there are some limitations on what we can do — and this applies to anyone, no matter who they are.
But the potential inside every one of us is unimaginably great.
Often, one of the biggest obstacles to achievement are our own beliefs about who we are, how the world works, and what is possible.
We give up before we even start, because we irrationally believe that success is impossible, or because we can’t see every step along the way so the path seems nonexistent.
The truth is, you will never know until you try. You are allowed to fail, to learn along the way, and re-define yourself and the world around you through action.
All you need to do is give yourself permission to try, and accept that, maybe, things aren’t as set in stone as you may think they are.
Bring this attitude into your efforts this week and see where it takes you!
