Happy Monday Team!
Apologies about the lateness of last week’s newsletter. The mass e-mail kept failing to send. Hopefully you’ll receive this one on time 🙂
It’s FIGHT WEEK for Timmy Green! Timmy hasn’t been in the cage in over a year, and we are super stoked to see his evolution on display Friday night in South Philadelphia. If you’ve trained with Timmy you know the skillset and pressure he brings to the mats. I can’t wait (and I have the best seat in the house, cageside)!
May also marks the debut of another one of our standout students, Ade Solebo. Ade will be making his first official walk into the ring on Saturday, May 20th in Voorhess NJ. Additional details below. Make sure to come out and support one or both of these guys!
05.12 ART OF WAR MMA | SOUTH PHILADELPHIA Timmy Green returns to action in a middleweight MMA fight on Friday, May 12th at the Sheet Metal Workers Union Hall in South Philadelphia. This event is right in our back yard and is sure to sell out. Timmy is sold out of tickets — it is unclear whether tickets will be available at the door. Stay posted to our social media accounts for updates.
05.20 101 SEMINAR SERIES | NORTH STAR ACADEMY
Our 101 Seminar Series returns with a deep dive into the Thai round kick on Saturday, May 20th at 10am. This workshop will replace the Striking 101 class normally held at 10am and is perfect for the beginner interested in learning the basic mechanics, or the advanced student who wants to pick up a few extra details to really sharpen the kick. Our 101 Seminar Series is always free and open to all North Star students (no striking experience required).
05.20 STRIKEZONE MUAY THAI | VOORHEES, NJ
North Star staple Ade Solebo makes his competitive debut at the StrikeZone Muay Thai Fight Night in Voorhees, NJ on Saturday, May 20th. This event is right across the bridge and a really cool showcase of the regional Muay Thai scene. We highly recommend you come support!
