Happy Monday Team!

If I could describe this upcoming month in one word, I would probably say “TUMULTUOUS!”  But that’s not a bad thing.

We are packed to the gills this month with some awesome events and changes both big and small.

Please note that our Striking 101 Review Test is tomorrow at 6pm!  Students testing must bring shinguards, kneepads, gloves, and a mouthguard.  No exceptions!  We have all of these materials for sale in our pro shop so you can stock up last minute if necessary!

Make sure to add these events to your calendar:

• TUESDAY 9.13 — Striking 101 Review Test @ 6pm
• FRIDAY 9.16 — Ground Zero Grappling featuring Paul Sims and Brittany Walker at the Sheet Metal Workers Union Hall in South Philadelphia.
• SATURDAY 9.17 — Freedom Fighters Muay Thai featuring Gianna Vadino at the Roosevelt Ballroom in Yonkers, NY.
• SATURDAY 9.24 — Gut Check Championships featuring Trevon Scales at the Hockessin PAL in Hockessin, DE.

And note the following changes in our weekly schedule:

• Thursday’s 6pm Striking 101 has been replaced by Striking 301 (Sparring).  Students require full gear (16oz+ sparring gloves, shinguards, knee pads, elbow pads, and mouthguard) plus instructor approval to participate.  Students must also be regularly attending other classes to participate.  
• Saturday’s 12pm Fighter Training has been moved to 8am.
• Saturday’s Jiu Jitsu 101 is now Jiu Jitsu 101 (Open Mat) — only changing in name!

In addition to all that, we’ll be seeing some new and different faces on the mats running the regular classes, as well as a huge facility upgrade/downgrade (depending on your perspective) that awaits your discovery.

Our Junior Samurai Stripe Challenge this week is Blue!  Students can earn a blue stripe by speaking with a teacher and asking to help with any chores or tasks before/after class, and then completing them.
