Feeling tired? Just show up. Sore? Just show up. Hungry? Just show up.
I’ve been training for nearly two decades, and I can tell you the hardest — and most important daily step in your training regimen — is just to show up.
You will never be 100% on every day, and if you wait for the planets to align in your favor, you will miss out on those important days when your willpower is the only thing left in your gas tank and you build immeasurable character by simply enduring.
On particularly tough days, when everything in your head is telling you to “just skip practice this once,” make sure to focus only on the act of arriving. The rest is, actually, pretty easy.
