Happy Monday Team!
I want to start out by saying a giant, huge, humongous, gargantuan thank you to everyone who came out for our anniversary shindig. A good measure of whether a party is fun can often be how few pictures there are — I was personally too engrossed in hanging out that I completely forgot to take any pictures!
And also a big shout out to the Z man himself, Zhigge, for taking lead on the event and making sure things ran smoothly. Z is a backbone here at the gym and is constantly managing day to day stuff that keeps the facility in tip top shape. Thank you, sir!!
In terms of the contests we ran, we’ll have our Pick’em winner and Raffle winners announced later this week — stay posted!
Also, a big thank you to Thai Street Food for catering the event. If you enjoyed the meal, head over to their Facebook page and leave a review. It’s a huge help to a business that’s just getting off the ground.
Moving forward, we’re getting back into competition season now with a full calendar of events. This weekend, we have a number of our grappling competitors heading to the North American Grappling Association tournament in Broomall.
Later, in March, Gianna Vadino and Trevon Scales will be representing the team at Gut Check Championships full rules Muay Thai event. And one week after that, Tim Green makes his sophomore appearance in the cage at Art of War at the Live! casino in South Philadelphia.
You can see any individual student for tickets, or reach out directly to me and I can get you in touch. If you’ve never been to a live fight event you have no idea what you’re missing!
See you on the mats!
p.s. We are open for normal classes today despite the holiday 🙂
